The presence of Asian Novellas in the Philippines is really the craze in every teen and not so old ones – the actors’ looks, songs, even the foods they cook and eat, and most especially the styles (actually even the anime hairdos is such a fad). So for our grannies, don’t get stunned of you would often see people down the streets having the hairs of San Goku, Yusuke, Kenshin Himura and all those anime characters we’ve seen on the television. The higher the hair stands the better for them so basically the Gel is very salable to comply with those hairstyles :). With regards to outfit, the Korean fashion was really the in thing here in the country, you can see most of the female who wear skirts with matching tights or leggings inside, then their tops is a combination of fit shirt and a spaghetti strap outside or the other way around. If it is not super fit then the super loose blouse that most often it can cover even your buttocks then paired with skinny jeans. If you really think about it, for me it was kind of weird combinations but then on, since it was the in thing nowadays you would also learn to appreciate its effect once you saw somebody who wears it and especially if they can carry it beautifully and wear it out like a celebrity.
By the way, to all those Young and Beautiful individuals not only in Asia but throughout the world can join this unique online Beauty contest. The winner will take $10,000 and might be able to work as a Model in New York, Milan, and Paris. So, if you think you’ve got what it takes to be the next Look of the Year, feel free to register and give your best shot! Goodluck guys!!

The surfacing of Valentines Day in Korea and Japan emerged through the credits of various marketing strategies. In most countries, the men are usually give gifts to the ladies, like for instance or the most common thing given are chocolates and flowers to their girlfriends or lovers. But in Korea and Japan have quite a different practice huh?! As the day on, women are the ones giving candy to the men they like. And guess what’s more?!? Women who particularly works in the offices makes it up an obligation rather than voluntary to give chocolates to all of their male officemates. (Geezzz!! what if you’re the only girl in your company?!? don’t you think it’s so unfair and such a great disaster in your finances??!!) This kind of chocolate in Japan is known as giri-choco, came from Japanese words giri which means obligation, and choco which obviously stands for chocolate. Don’t worry girls, there is a day (to get even hehehe) that they will return the favor on you – it is called the “White Day”. Held every 14th day of March wherein men are supposed to return the favor by giving something to those who gave them chocolates on Valentines Day. However, most men only give present to their girlfriends. Actually, this so-called “return gift” is supposed to be white chocolate or marshmallows, thus in commemoration for the name itself “White Day” but maybe because of the modern age, men have taken the name to a different meaning and the common gift are given these days are lingerie. In Korea, there is an added event aside from White Day – the Black Day. Held every 14th day of April, this is the occasion for all the men who receive nothing on Valentines Day. They all gather together, and eat Jajangmyun, a Chinese style noodles in black sauce. (hhmm I love Jajangmyun..yummy!)
“Businessmen are indeed so, so, clever… why? They made-up all these occasions for their gain. Inventing Valentines Day, and then White Day… and then Black Day! oh c’mon! So now, speculate no more as to why we have Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Teacher’s Day, Grandparents’ Day, and so on.. blah..blah.. blah… I will not be surprise anymore if there will come a time to have occasions such as Pet’s Day, Nanny’s Day, Best friend’s Day, etc.”

Ate’s really persistent in convincing me to watch this new drama series she bought – “The Lucifer” starred by this cutie Korean actor (my crush) Eom Tae Wong, along with Shin Min Ah, and Joo Ji Hoon. Actually, I have seen the first two episodes of the drama but I haven’t continued to watch it because I still have paper works to prioritize. Then last night she told me to better start watching it but then I’m so tired that I badly wanted to lie down. Then she just watched this Korean movie – “THE RESTLESS” borrowed from the neighbor. This movie has a fictional plot starred by Jeong Woo Seon as Yi Gwak and Kim Tae Hee as Soo In/Yon Hwa. Watching is like watching The Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter or drama’s here in the Philippines like Encantadia and Mulawin. I actually kinda like the movie… you know I like movies that has Karate moves
I just like watching karate stunts with all those fights with flying moves hahaha, very fictional. But then last night while watching it, I was stopping myself to sleep because I wanted to finish the whole movie. But then, maybe I was just too tired then that I effortlessly fell asleep. Anyway, I still have to continue watch it late

The 15th day of August of the 8th Lunar Moon, “Chusok Festival” was celebrated by the whole Korea.. It is the Korean version of Thanksgiving and one of the largest holidays in the Korean calendar. During this season means a break from work for it is a time to celebrate the family to give thanks for all the blessings. Lots of traditional foods are served, most especially “songpyeon”. Songpyeon is the food symbol of Chuseok, it cannot be omitted and it’s a tradition. It’s a kind of “dduk”, a type of sticky pounded-rice cake with sweetened sesame or a chestnut inside.
This festival is one of the most celebrated event in Korea. It is a family gathering wherein visiting their ancestors tombs to pay respect and offer rice and fruits is one of the acts. In the evening, children wear their favorite “hanbok” (traditional Korean clothing) and dance under the bright moon in a large circle. They play games and sing songs.

Jeju Island, also known as the “Island of the Gods,” is a popular vacation spot for Koreans and many Japanese. It remains one of the top honeymoon destinations for Korean newlyweds. The island’s mixture of volcanic rock, frequent rains, and temperate climate, make it very similar to the Hawaiian Islands in the U.S.
This is one of my ultimate dream vacation spots.. JEJU ISLAND. I’ve known this island since I started watching koreanovelas. Unang kita ko pa lng sa scenery, it was really amazing, and then I started to dream of visiting this place. Wanna see and swim in those beaches and have a walk in early morning. Wanna go on hiking in Mt. Hallyu too (the highest of Korea), and then reach the peak, catch the sunset and sunrise..wow!!! Wanna see and take pictures of majestic falls in there, or just simply lying in the beaches. Ooopppsssss…. should I start dreaming of walking and running in the sand with my sweetie Seung Seun Hun with matching splashing of water pah! o laban ka?!?!! Bwahaha..
