Showa Day

Showa day is celebrated in Japan as a day to commemorate the Era of Showa (1926-1989), where the Japanese worked hard to rebuild the country, and wishing for a bright future. It is the birthday of Emperor Showa (Hirohito), and after his death in 1989 it became known as the Greenery Day or Nature Day for the late emperor was a keen marine biologist. In 2007, it returned to its original name – Showa Day, whereas the Greenery Day is now being celebrated every 4th of April as a separate event and as part of the Golden Week celebrations.

Golden Week is actually from May 3-6, which specified as May 3 as the Kenpou-kinen-bi (Constitution Memorial Day); May 4 as the Midori-no-hi (Greenery Day) and; May 5 : Kodomo-no-hi (Children’s Day). Well, I don’t know but this is just my judgment and I’m not sure about this… but I think Japanese consider Golden Week from April 29 up to May 6 since there many national holidays during this period and many businesses and/or corporate establishments are close for about 6-10 days depending on the calendar ( Well our company’s principal in Japan will be having a break from April 29 - May 6, then office will resume May 7… thank’s for the Ms. Cheryl ;) ). This week is one of the three biggest holidays in Japan, (along with New Year and O-Bon Festival) and during this time many people are taking a vacation or travel abroad or around the country. Well, since it is a celebrated season for Japanese for sure the sights and amusement places are jam-packed, and it is expected that airports and train stations are overflowing so if you want to avoid the trauma for mass travel better seek and have the best Travel News and Booking Engine for your festival participation. It is better to get yourself a hotel booking engine or arrange your accommodations way ahead of time because it is very difficult to get hotel reservations and transportation during this period.

romantic holidays in Paros

One of the most admired countries in the world is Greece. It is always the ultimate vacation trip for most of the people especially here in the Philippines.. I remember when I was a little and even now, that you can only go there if you have a lots of lots of money, well of course even in going to various place you really have to check on your account. I often make a joke out of it before especially with my friends to find a Greek man and marry him in order to visit and explore the place (LOL)

But really Greece is one of the most beautiful and fascinating place ever. Especially the way they preserve their historic landmarks and relics, it is very classical and adorable. One of their tourist destinations that I’m dying to visit to is the Paros Island, the cyclades of Greece.  It is a breathtaking scenery that I am dreaming of staying for my vacation and it will really be great with your loved one beside you during the holiday trip and stay at any of those dazzling white buildings of Paros Hotels.

New Zealand getaway

My work is killing me.. I don’t have enough sleeps these past few days. Ever since I started to do this ‘weekly reports thing’ I only have 3 to 4 hours of sleep, and to think SLEEPING is my life! hah! I’m dying to hear about the updates on my New Zealand job application, and start a new career and a new life there! Well, I’m expecting for my Aunt’s help for this New Zealand short vacation in several months from now. I love this place along with Japan and Korea, and so I just couldn’t wait for this meaningful time of my life. I’m really excited since the time I got this great news and I just can’t wait to step my feet in the streets of Auckland and Wellington. Of course I will not fail to take a stop-off at Auckland Harbour Bridge, Hagley Park, Auckland War Memorial Museum, the Ascott Metropolis and other Auckland Hotels around the area, and Civic Square Wellington. I actually still have a lot of places in my list that I must layover or even just take some photos of it like the Mt. Cook and Mount Victoria wherein the movie – The Lord of the Rings shot few scenes here.

Summer is best in New Zealand.. I think so as New Zealand beaches is one of the best in the world. Taking a splash in their crystal clear water beaches or just having picnic basket or hiking in the Cathedral Cove l136.jpg is great idea to treat and pamper myself for being so exhausted and bushed in my work. I swear that I felt so wiped-out and I’m dying to have some spa and massage treats right in my room  in one of the Wellington Hotels or Christchurch Hotels. hotel room  At The Beach Bed & Breakfast Hotel

tomorrow’s activity…

I’m so excited for tomorrow’s family trip. Yup! we’re going to have a day and hopefully a night trip as well at Lake Agco in Kidapawan City. It’s my cousins birthday tomorrow and we’re going to celebrate it in Lake Agco since my Tita and her kids went all the way from Manila to here in Mindanao. She hasn’t been here for years already and she really misses a lot the fresh environment of our farm in Kidapawan :) .

Though I’m feeling a lot of excitement now, but i felt uneasy as well ‘coz I still haven’t ask permission from my boss that i’ll be absent tomorrow… uurrgghh… Ate Lea’s officially on her resignation now and I’m so dead tied-up with this “secretary thing”. Nobody can access emails except for the two of us… considering that I already have 3 absences last week so it’s so displeasing if I’m gonna be absent AGAIN huuhuhuhu… Hopefully there’s no predicaments for tomorrow so GSD will just take my one-day absent fairly fine.. hehehehhe..
