Way back before when I was still on my secondary schooling during our social studies subject, I was always amazed on how rich our country when it comes to raw materials and different food products, may it be crops and even manpower. It became a question to me as I grow older as to where are these products go and how come we still belong to a third world country when in fact we almost have everything that any country would want.
As we look today to what is happening to our country, the answer is basically in front of us. Philippines is always part of any international news and it is all about the corruption and power ———— of the people who are in the government. We can actually see rallies everyday and in every part of the country… total manipulation of those who are in power and the increasing number of poverty and chaos everywhere… It is not supposed to be like this! If only the wealth of our country is properly managed by the people in charge of it then we should really lead a good country. Can u just imagine even Japan, China, Korea and many other country in Asia acquires their raw material in the Philippines, like rice, banana, coconut and a lot more. It is a very thing that many Filipinos were also forced to work outside the Philippines in order to have a stable life for their families. why? because primarily our government cannot accommodate all of these people, there is always shortage of work opportunities here.. it really pisses me off when I start to think about what happened to my country, I love this place and I want this and I’m sure all Filipinos also want that our country would somehow prosper because with all of its nature, crops and everything ————— surely I can say that God gave us a beautiful place and it is supposedly up to us to nourish it.

The surfacing of Valentines Day in Korea and Japan emerged through the credits of various marketing strategies. In most countries, the men are usually give gifts to the ladies, like for instance or the most common thing given are chocolates and flowers to their girlfriends or lovers. But in Korea and Japan have quite a different practice huh?! As the day on, women are the ones giving candy to the men they like. And guess what’s more?!? Women who particularly works in the offices makes it up an obligation rather than voluntary to give chocolates to all of their male officemates. (Geezzz!! what if you’re the only girl in your company?!? don’t you think it’s so unfair and such a great disaster in your finances??!!) This kind of chocolate in Japan is known as giri-choco, came from Japanese words giri which means obligation, and choco which obviously stands for chocolate. Don’t worry girls, there is a day (to get even hehehe) that they will return the favor on you – it is called the “White Day”. Held every 14th day of March wherein men are supposed to return the favor by giving something to those who gave them chocolates on Valentines Day. However, most men only give present to their girlfriends. Actually, this so-called “return gift” is supposed to be white chocolate or marshmallows, thus in commemoration for the name itself “White Day” but maybe because of the modern age, men have taken the name to a different meaning and the common gift are given these days are lingerie. In Korea, there is an added event aside from White Day – the Black Day. Held every 14th day of April, this is the occasion for all the men who receive nothing on Valentines Day. They all gather together, and eat Jajangmyun, a Chinese style noodles in black sauce. (hhmm I love Jajangmyun..yummy!)
“Businessmen are indeed so, so, clever… why? They made-up all these occasions for their gain. Inventing Valentines Day, and then White Day… and then Black Day! oh c’mon! So now, speculate no more as to why we have Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Teacher’s Day, Grandparents’ Day, and so on.. blah..blah.. blah… I will not be surprise anymore if there will come a time to have occasions such as Pet’s Day, Nanny’s Day, Best friend’s Day, etc.”

A surprising expectation for China by the year 2015 as they hold the most promising emergence in the market of luxury goods. With their annual double-digit growth in sales they can even surpass the US luxury goods consumption. Japan holds the title of World’s Largest Purchaser of Luxury Goods, and China got the third spot but having a 12% of global sales it is undoubtedly foreseen that can get along with Japan’s spot. Attributable to this economic feat of China are the Chinese yuppies who take part a significant role in market demands… they are buying everything, from imported/hot cars, expensive watches, luxurious accessories to recognized luxury brand of clothing and skin care products. Imagine! 22% of Chinese consumers own a Rolex watch with an average price of $2,253.00 per watch. (Whew! it’s almost a hundred thousand in Philippine peso!)
The face of Asian concept is pride and dignity, and one factor to boost your status symbol is to show off – being wealthy and powerful, that’s the reason why Chinese consumers are investing so much in luxury goods… wanting to buy classy brands to define their identities. And with the sudden economic freedom of China, rich capitalists are so eager to make a mark on the social standing.
Anyway, I don’t know if the following places in US such as Arizona homes, Brooklyn, and phoenix are in support of luxury goods, but for their real estate relocation kindly click on the link below:

Shiatsu is a Japanese massage technique that combines aspect of Chinese acupuncture and philosophy with body massage. I’m not really sure about the benefits and difference of other kinds of massage such as Thai and Swedish massage but what I’m certain about Shiatsu is that it will restore or maintain the proper flow and balance of vital energy in our body. Of all the types of massage, Shiatsu is my most preferred one and if I were to recommend a massage, of course this is the one I would suggest because unlike any other ordinary or shall I say normal whole-body massage, Shiatsu focuses on specific points, which are similar to the acupoints of acupuncture… and I can really feel the recovery deep inside me.. and I would never give-p my time to a spa and have a relaxing massage. I think I’m getting addicted to massage therapy now and I can say or if I may call this a vice of mine that I cannot avoid… then this is it! It is indeed my weakness! I noticed that my body is really longing to have a massage once or twice a month. I have tried seven of these massage services here in Davao: Asian Massage, Hair Zone Massage Spa, Blind Massage (I’m not sure what’s their name), Body Excellence, Spa 101, Touch N Heal and Body Bliss. Although Touch N Heal’s massage techniques are good enough plus they have excellent place and setting I still have my most preferred one – The Bodyexcellence. Though their setting is not as good as Touch N Heal’s or like that of in Hair Zone, their beads don’t even have holes (hahaha!). but still the way of their massage is what I’m after of. They actually do Shiatsu massage just like in others but I don’t know why only in Bodyexcellence I don’t feel any tickles hahaha. Hhhmm I just hope that I will feel better everyday and achieve healthier body since I’m having Shiatsu massage every month.

Seeing the amazing structure of The Parthenon mull me over how really great is the ancient Greece before - their power and influence that until now is looked upon as the inspiration for the modern principles of democracy. Another Greece’s view that that I am very interested in the Mykonos’ dazzling white buildings… I just find this kind of sight so beautiful.
Greece has hundreds of islands, though these islands are one country or in same territory but their topography and climate greatly vary. The two largest islands are Crete in the south and Euboea in the east. These hundreds of islands of the mainland Greece are actually bracketed and have their own distinctive names, some of these grouped islands are the Cyclade, the Ionian Islands, and the Sporades where the Dodecanese is considered as the most significant island. Dodecanese which means “twelve” in Greek has 12 main islands that lies off in the southern Turkish coast wherein one of which is the important island of Rhodes is placed. Rhodes is considered as the most important island of the Sporades as the great bronze statue of the sun god Helios was built here in the ancient times, and is now known as the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the seven wonders of world… too bad none of its traces survive.
Today, the island of Rhodes is a major tourist mecca that’s why I am not surprise at all why there are so many hotels in Rhodes. The mild climate or maybe even the remains of ancient and medieval period is one element of tourists’ interest here. The numerous whitewashed churches, chapels, houses, Rhodes hotels, and buildings/structure is indeed so beautiful to look at. This is one popular spot in Mykonos, and mostly visited during summer, so if you are planning for a summer escapade in Rhodes better set your Rhodes accommodation ahead of time ‘coz for sure every Rhodes hotel in that season is on-peak and you cannot afford to have any conflicts in your place to stay during vacation…. and that is for sure!

It is so ironic that our country is one of the richest in resources. We are so blessed with fertile land and raw materials… we have almost all of the essential products used for everyday living, in fact we are the ones who exports these product to other countries but why we are still not rising? The thing is, system here is always been being mismanaged plus the number of corrupt officials who do nothing but make a couple of mess here! Isn’t it so pathetically happening that we are the ones who export the resources to other countries and after their revamping process, they will sell it to us.. of course these will become an imported product and the price is doubly raised or even increased thrice! So you’ll see.. the resources are from us yet we suffer from buying expensive goods. Of course we often buy the imported items since it is of good quality compare to local products… but well that’s another story. Anyway, another thing that I most riled about in this poor country – the Philippines, the government does not have sufficient and proper coordination or shall I say programs for Filipino workers tendency is skilled Filipino workers are all going abroad to work, so it is other countries who are benefiting it the Filipino talents. If we only know how to manage and become a Business Lead nation I think we can improve this terrible condition of ours.

The city of lights – Las Vegas is the destination of people looking for entertainment and pleasure … We all know that Las Vegas is the gambling capital of the world where most of the Vegas Hotels has the amusement of casino, having their own styles and strategies to be well-known not only to the tourists but even to the locals as well. I’ve known Las Vegas for its entertainment industry… if other states of America such as Los Angeles and New York are known respectively for the Hollywood and the busiest place on earth, Las Vegas is the place where people are having fun and want to entertain. So, for sure the main grounds for the state’s economy are from tourism and casino industry.
I asked a friend of mine as to how does she find Las Vegas … For her, Las Vegas is ‘‘A BETTER HOME’’ – a home for everyone, where the real comfort and happiness belongs, because it is a better place to live in. Gamblers and all extraordinary personalities are suit to this place, and everything is set into place no matter how crowded it is, they still able to maintain the peace and order of the state. Oh by the way, let me introduce this acquaintance of mine, her name is Cecille and base on my observations on her personality I really don’t speculate anymore why she has that very positive stance on Las Vegas…… ‘coz she’s soooooooooooooo into casino hahaha! But then, thank’s anyway ‘Ces! I’m still thinking if I’m going to give you a Las Vegas Hotel accommodation as a reward for me giving me time for this dialogue :)

I was I was really prepared and organizing some stuff during the celebration of 2008 new year’s eve..you know just like the usual things that we Filipinos are normally doing in welcoming the incoming new year. For the first time, I was particular with this red envelope and I really do when I watched on TV about this thing.. It is said that you must prepare red envelope or âng-pau in welcoming the new year, (of course this must contain money with even numbers inside) and then put in your main door. I really do this and I even put another one envelope inside my wallet since I have two envelopes. And then, since January 1, I was really thinking about the Chinese New Year.. as to what am I going to prepare? What foods? What color should I wear? all those stuff and everything… So when February 7 stroke the calender…geezzz! I have completely forgotten about the chinese new year!! I was so pissed-off ‘coz none even a single thing was set in our home…uurrgghh!!! I should have at least prepared Tikoy or Moon Cake or some dumplings…I hope next year I’ll be able to organize everything and never forget.
Why am I so particular with this Chinese New Year thing, anyway? Well, Chinese New Year or what we called the Lunar New Year is the most important in all of traditional Chinese Holidays falls during the 7th day of February. Asia in particular, Chinese New Year is not only celebrated in China but all throughout the region, just like here in the Philippines, when Chinese New Year is about to come you can observe some dragon dance in the malls and some Chinese-related ornamentation. This new year celebration has indeed a strong influence in neighboring country of China with Chinese cultures have had extensive interaction such as Korea, Nepal, Mongolia, Bhutan, Vietnam, and Japan before 1873. Countries such as here in the Philippines along with Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand is well celebrated this event as we had significant Chinese population here.

It is so distressing that more and more people in the Philippines are living in a squatter’s area. Actually the government is gradually resolving these squatter’s area concern by giving the affected households financial support and sufficient assistance for them to avail in housing projects from the government itself. But then ironically despite of all those housing assistance offered by the government still the people themselves still want to remain in such areas for reasons such as they cannot afford such housing loans or the relocation site is far-off from their work areas or from the city center which I find so crap. Everyone is dreaming to have his own house and lot so why not take the chance of acquiring housing development… after all its for your own benefit, I think it would be much better than getting those apartments for rent, right? For me, paying rental fee for your apartment is just a waste of money because you cannot get hold of that house in all of your payment, I think rent is just okay to students of if you are temporarily relocated in your job.
Well, if we are only like in the US situation it would be much beneficial to every citizen.. of course America is America and they are always standardized and superior. Even in purchasing a house or acquiring housing loans is not that complicated and difficult unlike here. In the Philippines, of course we can avail from PAG-IBIG but I still find it complex in their processing, and worse of all are through bank loans that interests will overthrow you! Anyways, the point is we must have our own, it is an essential thing for every human being so you must not let go of every opportunity that you can avail anyway there are several ways and means that will be of help to you such as mortgage refinancing and housing loans, even problems bank foreclosures can always have a way out.
